Kamala is a tropical plant of the Euphorbiaceae family. From its fruits and from the leaves a cool / fuchsia red coloring is obtained.

HAIR: Kamala is indicated to achieve very bright shades of red. Its coloring action is mainly due to a compound called rottlerina, a substance that also has interesting pharmacological properties. Thanks to the content of flavonoids, phenols, polyphenols and tannins, it has antioxidant, anti-parasitic, anti-dandruff and antifungal properties.

TINTORIAL NOTES: If used pure the shade is warm, while it varies in association with other dyeing herbs: together with the warm Henna for very intense and warm copper tones, together with the cold Henna for browns with cherry / mahogany reflections. It can also be mixed with Indigo or Katam for a darker coloring. The proportions depend on the result to be obtained and on the base on which the whole is applied. We always recommend testing before proceeding.

HOW TO USE: Mix the powder with boiling water until you get the consistency of a yogurt. Cover the container and allow to stand for 20 minutes before proceeding with the application.

To facilitate the release of the pigment, which is not very soluble in water, it is advisable to heat for 10 minutes in a small saucepan over a low heat or in a bain-marie glass bowl. Add cold water (every 3 tablespoons of powder half a glass of water), mix continuously dissolving the lumps, if the pasta is too thick add a little water and mix until the desired density.

Kamala also loves the basic pH, so even the addition of half a teaspoon of bicarbonate per 100g facilitates the release of the pigment. Add any other herbs for a synergistic effect. Allow to cool and apply the dough to the dry or slightly moist and clean scalp. Massage with light circular movements. Apply what remains even on the lengths of the hair. Leave on for at least 2 hours. Rinse thoroughly and make a light and diluted Shampoo if necessary. A final rinse with water and vinegar helps keep the hair shiny and soft.
