Also known as "aromatic ginger", this plant from the Zingiberaceae family is particularly recommended as a skin and hair enhancer.

HAIR: Restores strength, volume and shine to fragile, fine and dull hair, preventing graying. In the Indian tradition it is used for the treatment of dandruff and to stimulate hair growth. Useful in association with other washing herbs for scalp cleansing. Also appreciated by people with light hair as it has no tendency to darken: for this reason it can be combined with other herbs to facilitate the discharge of the Henna or to gently perfume the hair, especially for those who do not like the typical aroma of Dyeing herbs.

SKIN: Indicated for the cleansing of the skin and for the preparation of scrubs and anti-aging masks, thanks to its antioxidant activity, which counteracts skin aging. It has antifungal, antibacterial and cicatrizing properties, it frees the pores from impurities. The anti-inflammatory properties make it suitable for inflammation and irritation of the skin and scalp.

HISTORY and CURIOSITY: Its rhizome is similar to the Ginger one, but has a sweeter and spicy taste; It is used in Indonesian cuisine, where it is called Kencur.

HOW TO USE: Mix with boiling water until you get the consistency of a yogurt. Cover the container and allow to stand for 20 minutes. Apply the paste to dry or slightly damp skin. Massage with light circular movements. Apply what remains on the lengths. Leave on for 20/50 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and make a light and diluted Shampoo, like our shampoo all'Elicriso selvatico della Sardegna (Semplice Macchia Line). A final rinse with water and vinegar helps keep the hair shiny and soft.

As a face mask, it is advisable to mix it with Argille and other Herbs. The exposure time is 10/15 minutes, during which you must avoid drying the mask on the skin, but it is recommended to keep it moist by delivering water or floral water.
