Vanilla, native to the tropical forests of Mexico, is an orchid from which a pod is obtained, used in cooking and cosmetics. Its seeds produce a precious oil with an intoxicating aphrodisiac, relaxing and rebalancing scent.
It reduces inflammation, has antioxidant and antibacterial properties, to be applied pure locally or mixed with almond, jojoba or sesame oil for a massage in an extended area. It has a soothing action for the symptoms of menopause and menstrual pain, especially on abdominal cramps, even those of nervous origin. It is effective as a calming agent in case of anxiety, insomnia and severe stress: to be applied a drop on the solar plexus and massaged lightly.
