Palo Santo essential oil is extracted with full respect for the tree and its growth, as it is obtained by steam distillation from the wood of naturally fallen branches. This step is essential to the distinctive fragrance of Palo Santo, because once the branches fall, they are coated in mucilage present in the soil, which triggers a natural fermentation, promoting the development of an intense and distinctive aroma, largely due to the presence of Limonene, which imparts citrus notes.
It contains resins rich in sesquiterpene compounds, particularly Limonene, which gives citrus and fresh notes, the percentage of which varies depending on the area in which the tree grows, thus creating different nuances of fragrances.
It is used in aromatherapy to relieve anxiety and headaches, and to promote relaxation and meditation, but also to relieve respiratory conditions, thanks to its antibacterial properties.

In aromatherapy, use 2-3 drops in a room diffuser to scent and purify the air, aiding meditation and concentration. To aid the respiratory tract, place 2 drops on a cotton handkerchief and smell it occasionally, also helpful during times of stress and negativity. You can add a few drops to bath water for a complete relaxation. For massage, dilute 2-3 drops in a vegetable oil or cream.
