The essential oil of Palo Santo is extracted with full respect for the tree and its growth, as it is obtained by steam distillation from the wood of the branches that fall naturally. This phase is necessary to characterize the fragrance of Palo Santo, because the branches, once fallen, are covered by the mucilages present in the soil, which trigger a natural fermentation, favoring the development of an intense and peculiar aroma, largely due to the presence of Limonene, which gives citrus notes.

The Essential Oil contains resins rich in sesquiterpene compounds, in particular Limonene, which gives citrus and fresh notes, the percentage of which varies according to the area in which the Tree grows, thus creating different shades of fragrances.

It is used in Aromatherapy to calm anxiety and headaches, and to promote relaxation and meditation, but also to relieve respiratory diseases, thanks to its antibacterial properties.

How to use: In Aromatherapy 2-3 drops in a diffuser for rooms to perfume and purify the air, to facilitate meditation and concentration. To help the respiratory tract, put 2 drops on a cotton handkerchief to smell from time to time, also useful in times of stress and negativity. You can add a few drops in the bath water for a complete immersion in relaxation. For massages, dilute 2-3 drops in a vegetable oil or cream.
