Mastic is a bushy evergreen shrub, which has represented an indispensable resource in alchemy and medicine of the past centuries. The essential oil, extracted from the flowering branches, is obtained by steam distillation.

Skin: has an antirheumatic action and stimulates circulation. It is useful in case of swollen, heavy and tired legs, or for cellulite and varicose veins, to be massaged through a vegetable oil (eg black cumin oil).

It finds application in the treatment of infections of the oral cavity and for gastric pain.

Aromatherapy: It can be used to perfume rooms in a delicate way and to create an invigorating atmosphere for the psychic and emotional sphere. Thanks to its balsamic properties, it can also be used for coughs, mucus and colds, with mucolytic and expectorant action.
