Essential oil obtained from Lavender flowers. Used in aromatherapy as a calming and rebalancing of the central nervous system, indicated in cases of anxiety, agitation, insomnia or in case of stress headaches.
On the Skin: Useful for decontracting and relaxing massages, indicated in case of rheumatoid arthritis, to be diluted with a vegetable oil such as Tamanu, Andiroba or Blackcurrant oil.
It can be used to make cold compresses in case of bruising, or hot in case of neck pain. Soothing in case of menstrual pain or abdominal spasms, colic and flatulence.
Valid remedy in case of colds, antiseptic and antibiotic, also useful in case of cystitis, added to the Sardinian Myrtle Cleanser.
Cicatrizant also suitable for the most sensitive and delicate skins, to be used in case of small wounds, burns and mosquito bites.
On the Hair: to be massaged on the scalp, to relax, activate circulation and fight dandruff, also added to the Sardinian Wild Helichrysum Shampoo.
ATTENTION: Lavandula hybrida, also called washbasin, is often labeled with the generic name LAVENDER. Instead, they are two very different plants. In fact it takes 150 kg of real lavender ears (ie angustifolia or officinalis) to obtain a liter of essential oil, while only 50 kg of sink.
