Monoi Tiarè has always been associated with the beauty of Polynesian women and their wonderful hair. It is obtained from the maceration of the fragrant Tiarè flowers in Coconut Oil. Also known as Solar Oil, Monoi Tiarè helps to keep the tan longer and more intensely and uniformly, avoiding the formation of unsightly depigmented patches. It also repairs the damage caused by excessive sun exposure and keeps the skin supple. It does not contain sunscreens, it is not recommended for skins at the first exposure, for children and for delicate skin.

A compress on the hands and feet will make the hands softer and healthier, and will prevent the heels from appearing harsh and cracked.

Excellent hair ally: it protects them from the wind, the sun and the saltiness, it counteracts the dryness and leaves them silky and untangled. A pre-shampoo wrap restores shine and softness, to be done by applying the Monoi Tiarè on the scalp and on the ends and cover it all with a shower cap for 30 minutes. Then proceed with a mild shampoo, such as the Shampoo all'Elicriso Selvatico della Sardegna (Semplice Macchia Line). Repeat the treatment on a daily basis (even with a shutter speed of 15/20 minutes) to combat dry scalp and dandruff.

Curiosity: Present in the traditional Tahitian pharmacopoeia, Tiarè is used above all for the preparation of the fragrant Monoi, rich in vitamin E, with an antioxidant action, which limits the formation of free radicals, one of the main causes of skin aging.

The Monoi is used regularly by the Tahitian population for body and hair care, to preserve, soften and moisturize the skin, protect, nourish and polish the hair. A beauty product par excellence of Vahine women, the Monoi was also used by Maori sailors during sea expeditions on the big canoes, to protect themselves from the cold, the strong winds and salt water.
