Annual plant of the Fabaceae family with white or yellow flowers that form pods of about eight centimeters, which contain about twenty triangular yellow-brown seeds.

HAIR: Methi contains a high percentage of mucilage, which makes it an excellent conditioner and moisturizer. It also contains proteins, flavonoids, lipids, vitamins, iron, minerals and saponins which give it cleansing and sebum-regulating properties. Stimulates hair growth, strengthens them and reduces their fall. It makes the hair voluminous and silky, continued use over time promotes hair growth and stops the fall.

SKIN: It has a high nourishing power for the skin, it is elasticising and firming for the face, neck and décolleté. Excellent natural remedy to keep skin firmer, young and beautiful. Excellent as a breast pack to give it turgidity and elasticity. It can be used as a cleanser to prevent wrinkles and promote acne healing.

HISTORY and CURIOSITY: Its Latin name "Trigonella" recalls the shape of the seeds, in a triangle, while the name fenugreek is because in the past it was used to feed the livestock.

HOW TO USE: Mix the powder with very hot water. Leave covered all night. The next day blend the dough to make it even more spreadable. Add any other herbs. Apply the paste on dry or wet hair. Keep for 1 hour. A final rinse with water and vinegar helps keep the hair shiny and soft.

As a face mask, the shutter speed is 10/15 minutes. Don't let the mask dry, but keep it moist by delivering water or aromatic water on the skin.

Often the Methi is added to Herbal mixes to give a scented note with a hint of licorice.
