Vitamin E has a high antioxidant activity, as it is able to dampen the reactivity of free radicals, which are formed by the action of UV rays, smoke, pollution, and which degrade the fatty acids present in the skin, altering the structure of collagen. In this way the skin loses elasticity and there is premature aging, with the formation of wrinkles.

It has a good tolerability on the skin, is soluble in oil and is used in concentrations between 0.01 and 0.1% to protect the cosmetic formulations from oxidation and to prevent the rancidity of the oils. It is recommended to add vitamin E especially to oils that are sensitive to rancidity, such as Rosa mosqueta oil and sweet almond oil. Likewise, we can place vitamin E in shea butter, mango butter or cocoa butter.

 Particularly suitable for mature, dry and dehydrated skin and for sensitive or irritated skin. It also has anti-inflammatory action, useful in case of erythema, redness and sunburn.
