The Basil Tulsi, of the Lamiaceae family, is defined Elixir of Long Life and in India it is considered a sacred plant that identifies Lakshmi, the bride of Vishnu, a symbol of the harmony of Beauty and Goddess of Fertility.

HAIR: Tulsi is a plant rich in mucilage and can be used on the hair to treat dandruff, infections and scalp irritations and to make hair shiny.

Particularly suitable for the treatment of oily hair.

SKIN: It is indicated to prepare masks to be applied on the skin oh the face in case of eczema, psoriasis, itching and small wounds. Moisturizes and mattifies skin tending to grease, removes dirt in depth and is excellent for preparing the skin for makeup. Adds radiance to the face: the antioxidants present in Tulsi make the face look younger and fresher. Used as a scrub it helps to make the face bright and to remove dark spots; it also lightens the appearance of scars and the dark marks left by acne.

HISTORY AND CURIOSITY: According to the Indian tradition the Tulsi opens the gates of the sky, for this reason a leaf is placed on the breast of dying people and after his death the head is washed with a solution composed of flax seeds and holy basil.

HOW TO USE: Prepare with plenty of boiling water, leave to infuse for 30 minutes, filter and use the Tulsi infusion as it or to prepare other herbs or clays instead of water. Alternatively, mix the powder with boiling water until you get the consistency of a yogurt. Add any herbs or clays for a synergistic effect. Cover the container and let it rest for 20 minutes. Apply the paste on dry or slightly damp scalp, massaging with light circular movements. Also apply on the lengths. Cover the hair with cling film and keep on for 20 to 50 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and make a light and diluited shampoo. As a face mask, the exposure time is 15 minutes. Do not let the mask dry, but keep it moist by dispensing water or aromatic waters on the skin.
